Once the hub of Seattle´s maritime activities, the Seattle Waterfront now contains a number of the city´s most popular recreation and retail venues. Meander around the waterfront or seawall, taking in the sights and sounds of the city while you enjoy fine dining or entertainment. You can even ride along on the streetcar, take a cruise or ride on the ferry. You'll find plenty of date destinations, all rolled into one romantic destination.
The Port Townsend Aero Museum began operations in 2001, founded by experienced aircraft restorers Jerry and Peggy Thoutte. With an initial donation of six flying antique aircraft and several restoration projects, the museum quickly attracted a group of dedicated young volunteers. The youth mentorship program grew alongside the collection. Check out their collection and maybe even sign up for their volunteer program.
Sip on homemade beers and ales from Seattle´s original microbrewery. The Big Time Brewing Company offers its award winning beers and tasty pub food in a classic alehouse setting, making it the perfect place to go for a low-key experience on the city's nightlife scene. Be sure to stop by at Grumpy Hour for drink and food specials!
